My story...
When I was about ten years old, I taught myself the basics of digital video by recording to VHS-C, and editing with two old VCRs. After several years of experimenting, I moved from my humble town in Virginia to study Film and Television Production at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I graduated in 2008 with a BFA, and a passion for Cinematography.
Directly out of college, I moved to New York City seeking a career in the independent film business, but instead, I began by working on infomercials along the New Jersey shore. A little bit different than what I anticipated, but things looked up from there. Months later, I found myself working as a multifaceted freelance crew member along the east coast for Corporate, Commercial, and Narrative works.
In the commercial world, some of my clients include Zagat Survey, John Robert Powers School System, Prep 4 Bedbugs, and Demand Media. I have partnered with People's Sketch Association to produce various sketch comedy webisodes. I also often work with NYC Fashion Stylist, Amy Salinger, producing fashion video content for the web.
My narrative works as Cinematographer include several music videos by Melyssa Vazquez, the award winning short film "Reverie" directed by Paula Wood, Official Selection of RIFF "No Land" by Robert Gregson, and "Bout" by Robert Michael Chrisco.
